The Roman Catholic Church

Introduction

In 1949, I was born and raised Roman Catholic until 1967.

It was an adverse experience in my life especially in the Catholic school system.

There were days I dreaded going to school due to abuse and humiliation by nuns and lay teachers when I answered incorrectly in front of the class.  It could come in the form of verbal abuse or physical abuse by banging my head on the blackboard for not knowing an answer.

It seemed that they really enjoyed doing this, they were good at it, and I suffered because of it.  Later in life I realized that it may have been demonic!   In 1967 in the first week or two starting the new school year, it was my junior year, and a priest asked me to recite a certain prayer and I couldn’t remember it.  He had a combination lock in his hand and smashed the lock over the top of my head!  With blood running down my head, the boy behind me said “Father, his head is bleeding.” The priest said “spit on it”!

On that day, I left the Catholic school and church never to return!

It was 28 years later a friend witnessed the TRUE Word of God to me!

He continued daily and used one scripture

John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free.

That one scripture changed my life!

There is a misunderstanding and confusion between the terms “Roman Catholic” and “Christianity”.  They are seen and understood to be one and the same.  However, they are totally and completely different.  Christianity is based on the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ and the scriptures.  Whereas Roman Catholicism relies on the teachings of the Pope who claims to be infallible whereas in Christianity they rely on the scriptures in the bible.

In Catholicism the Pope is the central figure of the church and they pray to and worship Mary and the saints of which there are many and have seven sacraments that are adhered to.   In Christianity they do not honor any of this and only pray to God and Jesus Christ.  However, that is not accurate either because Jesus Christ told his apostles not to pray to him but only to the Father in his (Jesus’s) name.   Christians must be born again by their belief in the Lord Jesus Christ and that he was raised from the dead.

The Ten Commandments states:

Exodus 3 Do not have other gods besides Me.  Exodus 4 Do not make an idol for yourself, whether in the shape of anything in the heavens above or on the earth below or in the waters under the earth.  Exodus 5 You must not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God…   In Roman Catholicism they pray as mentioned above to Mary and many hundreds of saints. They pray before statues and things carved from wood and stone.  Generally, they do not pray to God, there is always a special saint or Mary for example saying the Hail Mary.  The writings of Paul to Christians at Ephesus, Philippi, Corinth, or Rome, were addressed “to the saints”. In all these cases, the saints were living people, not those who had died.

Isaiah 8:19-20 Amplified Bible  19 When the people [instead of trusting God] say to you, “Consult the mediums [who try to talk to the dead] and the soothsayers who chirp and whisper and mutter,” should not a people consult their God? Should they consult the dead-on behalf of the living? 20 [Direct those people] to the law and to the testimony! If their teachings are not in accord with this word, it is because they have no dawn.

If we try to commune with people that have died, what else is this but a form of spiritism? Repeatedly the Bible condemns all attempts to commune with the dead. Yet The Catholic Encyclopedia says:  “Catholic teaching regarding prayers for the dead is bound up inseparably with the doctrine …of the communion of saints which is an article of the Apostles Creed.  Note from HCSB (Holman Christian Study Bible: The people wanted Isiah to engage in necromancy along the lines of the witch of En-dor (1Sm 28). Such divination was strictly prohibited in the OT (Dt 18:9-14) They should put their trust in God and seek only His guidance through His Word.

In Roman Catholicism they go to confession and confess their sins to a priest to have their sins forgiven instead of asking God to forgive them.  This is Blasphemy!  NO man can forgive sins except for God and the Lord Jesus Christ who is the Son of God.

1

Matthew 23:8-12 And call no man your Father on the earth: for one is your Father, even he who is in heaven. Neither be ye called masters: for one is your master, even the Christ. But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.

1 Timothy 2:5 There is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.  So, in other words Catholics have been going to confession to have their sins forgiven, the priest often says for example, to say 3-5 hail Mary’s,1 Our Father and an act of contrition.  In other words, the priest instructing the sinner to pray to Mary is sinful in itself!  They have been misled! Their sins are not forgiven!

A practice that Roman Catholicism has been doing over the ages is saying the rosary.  This is vain repetition which Almighty God hates. The beads on the rosary are for counting prayers-prayers that are repeated over and over.  This instrument is widely used in the Roman Catholic Church, the Hail Mary is repeated 50 times, 10 sets of 5.  It is clearly not of Christian origin.

KJV – Matthew 6:7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

Saying the prayer of Our Father is what Jesus told his disciples to pray when they asked him how to pray.   Matthew 6:9-13   Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy Kingdom Come, thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread.  And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, amen.

BABYLON MYSTERY RELIGION is a biblical and historical account of numerous ways in which apostasy developed and grew within the realm of Christianity.  That such things occurred should come as no surprise to the student of the Bible, for these things were clearly revealed in the scriptures.

Babylon has been symbolically described in the last book of the Bible as a woman “arrayed in purple and scarlet color, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: and upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH”  Rev 17:1-6

When the Bible uses symbolic language, a “woman” can symbolize a church. The true church, for example, is likened to a bride, a chaste virgin, a woman without spot or blemish Eph 5:27, Rev 19:7-8. But here, in striking contrast, an unclean woman, a defiled woman, a harlot, is pictured. If it is here correct to apply this symbolism to a church system, it is clear that only a defiled and fallen church could be meant! In big capital letters, the Bible calls her “MYSTERY BABLON.”

The Horrors of the Church and Its Holy Inquisition

“Anyone who attempts to construe a personal view of God which conflicts with Church dogma must be burned without pity.”
– Pope Innocent III

The Inquisition was an ecclesiastical court and process of the Roman Catholic Church setup for the purpose towards the discovery and punishment of heresy which wielded immense power and brutality in medieval and early modern times. The Inquisitions function was principally assembled to repress all heretics of rights, depriving them of their estate and assets which became subject to the ownership of the Catholic treasury, with each relentlessly sought to destroy anyone who spoke, or even thought differently to the Catholic Church. This system, for close to over six centuries became the legal framework throughout most of Europe that orchestrated one of the most confound religious orders in the course of mankind.

Inquisition Procedure

At root the word Inquisition signifies as little of evil as the primitive “inquire,” or the adjective inquisitive, but as words, like persons, lose their characters by bad associations, so “Inquisition” has become infamous and hideous as the name of an executive department of the Roman Catholic Church.

All crimes and all vices are contained in this one-word Inquisition. Murder, robbery, arson, outrage, torture, treachery, deceit, hypocrisy, cupidity, holiness. No other word in all languages is so hateful as this one that owes its abhorrent preeminence to its association with the Roman Church.

In 1252, Pope Innocent IV officially authorized the creation of the horrifying Inquisition torture chambers. It also included anew perpetual imprisonment or death at the stake without the bishop’s consent. Acquittal of the accused was now virtually impossible. Thus, with a license granted by the pope himself, Inquisitors were free to explore the depths of horror and cruelty. Dressed as black-robed fiends with black cowls over their heads, Inquisitors could extract confessions from just about anyone. The Inquisition invented every conceivable device to inflict pain by slowly dismembering and dislocating the body.

Many of the devices were inscribed with the motto “Glory be only to God.” Bernardus Guidonis, the Inquisitor in Toulouse instructed the layman as to never argue with the unbeliever, but as to “thrust his sword into the man’s belly as far as it will go.” George Ryley Scott describes how the inquisitors, gorged with their inhumanity, and developed a degree of callousness rarely rivaled in the annals of civilization, with the ecclesiastical authorities condemning every faith outside of Christianity as demonic.

Even the very fact of having a charge brought against you, and of being summoned to the Inquisition was sufficient to strike abject terror into the bravest man or woman. For very few who entered the doors of those halls of torment emerged whole in mind and body. If they escaped with their life, they were, with rare exceptions, maimed, physically or mentally forever. Those who did happen to endure the dungeons generally went mad in captivity, screaming out in despair to escape their purgatories. Others willingly committed suicide during their confinement.  The defendants were known to incriminate themselves at any chance they had to escape the horrors.

As Henry Charles Lea describes, one of the conditions of escaping the penalties was that they stated all they knew of other heretics and apostates, under the general terror, there was little hesitation in denouncing not only friends and acquaintances, but the nearest and dearest kindred–parents, children, brothers and sisters–this ultimately and indefinitely prolonged the Inquisitions through their associates.

During the course, defendants had no rights to counsel or advice and were even denied the right to know the names of their accusers. No favorable evidence or character witnesses were permitted. In any case, one who even spoke for an accused heretic would be arrested as an accomplice. Never would a prisoner of the Inquisition have seen the accusation against himself, or any other. All efforts relating to time, place, and person were carefully concealed.

My comment:  It sounds like the Red Flag Law in some states that we have today, It also sounds, very much like Nazi Germany!

Papal Inquisition (1233)

The Inquisition was also destined to become a permanent institution. The vigor and success of the Papal Legatine Inquisition assured this. The Fourth Lateran Council took the initial steps with Pope Innocent III presiding. The synodal courts were given something of the character of inquisitorial tribunals. Synods were to be held in each province annually, and violations of the Lateran canons were rigorously punished.

The condemned were to be left in the hands of the secular power, and their goods were to be confiscated. The secular powers were to be admonished and induced, and, should it prove necessary, were to be compelled to the utmost of their power to exterminate all who were pointed out as heretics by the church. Any prince declining not to purge his land of heresy was to be excommunicated. If he persisted, complaint was to be made to the pope, who was then to absolve his vassals from allegiance and allow the country to be seized by Catholics who should exterminate the heretics. Those who joined in the crusade for the extermination of heretics were to have some indulgence as the crusaders who went to the Holy Land.

In the face of this inexpugnable record, how futile it is for modern church apologists to pretend that Rome did not shed blood and was not responsible for the atrocities of the Inquisition. The Council of Toulouse in 1229 adopted a number of canons tending to give permanent character to the Inquisition as an institution.

It made or indicated the machinery for questioning, convicting, and punishing. Heretics were to be excluded from medical practice; the houses in which they were found to be razed to the ground; they were to be delivered to the archbishop, or local authorities; forfeiture or public rights could be removed only by a papal dispensation; anyone who allowed a heretic to remain in his country, or who shielded him in the slightest degree, would lose his land, personal property, and official position; the local magistracy joined in the search for heretics; men from the ages of 14, and women from 12, were to make oath and renew it every two years, that they would inform on heretics.

This made every person above those ages a bloodhound to track to torture and kill. Local councils added to these regulations, always in the direction of severity and injustice. The organic development of the Papal Inquisition proceeded rapidly. It was found that bishops, for the various reasons, would not always enforce the cruel canons of the councils.

During the persecution of heresy in the Rhineland’s by Conrad, one obstinate culprit actually refused to burn in spite of all the efforts of his zealous executioners. A thoughtful priest brought to the roaring pile a consecrated host. This at once dissolved the spell by a mightier magic, and the luckless heretic was speedily reduced to ashes.

Other inquisitors included Peter of Verona in Italy, Robert the Bulgar in northeast France, and Bernardus Guidones in Toulouse. Guidones, was considered the most experienced inquisitor of his day, condemning roughly 900 heretics, with recorded sentences pronounced after death against 89 persons during a period of 15 years. Not only was their property confiscated, and their heirs disinherited, but they were subject to still further penalties. In the north of France, the Inquisition was marked by a series of melancholy events. Robert le Bougre, spent six years going through the Nivernais, Burgundy, Flanders and Champagne, burning at the stake in every place unfortunates whom he condemned without judgment.

Spanish Inquisition (1478-1834)

In 1478, the Spanish Inquisition was established with the papal approval of Pope Sixtus IV. The reform and extension of the ancient tribunal which had existed from the thirteenth century was mainly to discover and eliminate Jews and Muslims secretly taking up their beliefs in private.

The Catholic Spanish government also directly paid the expenses, and received the net income of the Inquisition itself from the accused. According to civil law, people convicted of religious treason were sentenced to death and their goods confiscated while the Catholic Church feasted on their estate. Additional Inquisitors were named, including Tomas Torquemada, who the following year was appointed Inquisitor General for all of Spain

Roman Inquisition (1542-1700)

In the early 1500’s and 1600’s, the Catholic Church went through a reformation. It consisted of two related movements:

(1) a defensive reaction against the Reformation, a movement begun by Martin Luther in 1517 that gave birth to Protestantism
(2) a Catholic reform which saw Protestants declare war on Catholics

The Roman Catholic Church called the Council of Trent partly as a defense against Protestantism. In 1542, Pope Paul III (1534-49) established the Holy Office as the final court of appeal in trials of heresy. The Church also published a list of books that were forbidden to read. Heretical books were outlawed, and searched out by domiciliary visits. Every book that came was scrutinized minutely with the express object of finding some passage which might be interpreted as being against the principles or interests of the Catholic faith.

The secular coadjutors were also not allowed to learn to read or write without permission. No man was able to aspire to any rank above that of which he already held. The church insisted on this regulation as a means to obtaining a perfect knowledge of its subordinates.

The Jesuit Conspiracy: The Secret Plan of the Order

by Jacopo Leone (Author), Victor Considerant (Preface)

Monsignor Leone’s exposé of the Jesuit “Secret Plan” of domination took the 19th century by storm. Was Jacopo Leone a sincere clerical whistle-blower? Let the damage of his work speak for itself.

Were he an agent of the Papacy or of the Company of Loyola, itself, it wouldn’t be the first time Rome over-played her hand of disclosing truth in an effort to divert or distract.

It is certainly plausible that Father Leone arrived at the Santa Margherita Chieri monastery, desiring nothing more than to take his service to the next, and perhaps, ultimate level as a Jesuit, only to be shocked to learn that the most powerful, dedicated order in the Catholic Church was neither benign nor Christian. The machinations that were exposed to him shocked him into action: he must expose this terrible insurgency.

The inversely-named “Society of Jesus” isn’t a renegade cloister; it is the ultimate expression of Catholic domination. The agenda of Loyola is the agenda of Rome: to subjugate all humanity—body and soul—under the authority of the “Successor of Saint Peter” and, if that successor proves unworthy of his office, he, too is removed by any means necessary.

As you examine Monsignor Leone’s claims, how the Jesuits control from Corsica to China, you will draw the same conclusion: they are simply taking the agenda of the Fourth and Final Beast—the Great Harlot of Babylon—to its ultimate conclusion.

Giovanni ‘Johnny’ Cirucci, former Marine, Army officer and Iraq war veteran; author and researcher of Vatican history and inter-government manipulation.

General Lorenzo Ricci, eighteenth Superior General of the Society of Jesus, on a request from the French King Louis XV to change the structure of the Jesuits in recognition of the newly formed Gallican Church recognized by the French state replied “Let them be as they are, or not be at all.” The Abbate Leone’s work on exposing the Sunzutian grand plans of the Jesuits give one great insight into the current geopolitical landscape in the 21st century.

Knowing that the Jesuits themselves say that they never will change, the grand plot for world conquest exposed by the Abbate Leone becomes a necessary read for understanding the current paradigm. The ambitions of the Jesuits are boundless, as Claudio Aquaviva, fifth Superior General, said “Why are there not regions beyond the stars, that one might be able to conquer other worlds than that pertaining to earth?”

The Secret History of the Jesuits

By Edmund Paris

Out of Europe, a voice is heard from the secular world that documents historically the same information told by ex-priests. The author exposes the Vatican’s involvement in world politics, intrigues, and the fomenting of wars throughout history. It appears, beyond any doubt, that the Roman Catholic institution is not a Christian church and never was. The poor Roman Catholic people have been betrayed by her and are facing spiritual disaster. Paris shows that Rome is responsible for the two great world wars.
About the Author:

Author Edmond Paris explains why he wrote this book…
“The public is practically unaware of the overwhelming responsibility carried by the Vatican and its Jesuits in the start of the two world wars — a situation which may be explained in part by the gigantic finances at the disposition of the Vatican and its Jesuits, giving them power in so many spheres, especially since the last conflict.”

“In fact, the part they took in those tragic events has hardly been mentioned until the present time, except by apologists eager to disguise it. It is with the aim of rectifying this and establishing the true facts that we present in this and other books the political activity of the Vatican during the contemporary — activity which mutually concerns the Jesuits.”

“This study is based on irrefutable archive documents, publications from well-known political personalities, diplomats, ambassadors and eminent writers, most of whom are Catholics, even attested by the imprimatur.”

Conclusion

“And upon her forehead was a name written, Mystery, Babylon the Great, the Mother of Harlots and Abominations of the Earth.” Rev 17:5

In leading proof of the Babylonian character of the Papal Church the first point to which I solicit the reader’s attention is the character of Mystery which attaches alike to the modern Roman and the ancient Babylonian systems. The gigantic system of moral corruption and idiolatry described in this passage under the emblem of a woman with a “GOLDEN CUP IN HER HAND” (Rev 17:4) “making all nations DRUNK with the wine of her fornication” Rev 17: 2, 18: 3, is divinely called “Mystery, Babylon the Great” Rev 17:5.  That Paul’s “Mystery of iniquity,” as described in 2 Thess 2:7 has its counterpart in the church of Rome, no man of candid mind, who has carefully examined the subject, can easily doubt.

Doctrine and Discipline

When Linacer, a distinguished physician, but bigoted Romanist, in the reign of Henry VIII, first fell in with the New Testament, after reading it for a while, he tossed it from him with impatience and a great oath, exclaiming, “Either this book is not true, or we are not Christians.”  He saw at once that the system of Rome and the system of the New Testament were directly opposed to one another; and no one who impartially compares the two systems can come to any other conclusion.  In passing from the Bible to the Breviary, it is like passing from light to darkness.  While the one breathes glory to God in the highest, peace on earth, and good will to men, the other inculcates all that is dishonoring to the Most High, and ruinous to the moral and spiritual welfare of mankind.  How come it that such pernicious doctrines and practices were embraced by the Papacy?   Was the Bible so obscure or ambiguous that men naturally fell into the mistake of supposing that it required them to believe and practice the very opposite of what it did?  No; the doctrine and discipline of the Papacy were never derived from the Bible.  The fact that wherever it has the power, it lays the reading of the Bible under its ban, and either consigns that choicest gift of heavenly love to the flames, or shuts it up under lock and key, proves this of itself.  But it can be still more conclusively established.  A glance at the main pillars of the Papal system will sufficiently prove that its doctrine and discipline, in all essential respects, have been derived from Babylon.
